Terms

These terms set out how we provide technical advice, confirm orders, deliver and install equipment, and what buyers need to organise before and after installation.

Technical advice and general guidance

Our technical notes, equipment details, and workshop advice are based on general South African practice and common setups. These are intended as a practical starting point, not as a substitute for the manual, a qualified electrician, or a registered engineer.

Always follow the latest safety regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. If you are unsure about wiring, installation, or guarding, use a registered specialist. The buyer is responsible for ensuring the site complies with SANS 10142-1 and local safety rules.

Quotes, orders and written confirmation

All equipment, kits, and accessories are sold on written quotes and confirmed orders. The written quote clearly sets out the scope, included items, lead time, and any specific arrangements for delivery, installation, or training.

Specifications, photos, and advice are for comparison and planning only. Confirm what will be supplied in your written order or offer. Any changes, extras, or customisation must be agreed in writing before we proceed.

Delivery, installation and buyer’s responsibilities

Delivery is organised from our main floor at Sunnyrock or as arranged. Once goods leave our dispatch, risk passes to the buyer. Any damage or loss after handover must be taken up with the transporter or insurance.

Site readiness, including clear access, moving space, stable floors, correct power, and a Certificate of Compliance for electrical work, is the buyer’s responsibility. Our teams install and commission equipment as set out in your order, but cannot fix site power, structure, or access issues.

Warranty, defective goods and legal terms

Warranty terms are stated in your written quote and supported by the manufacturer’s own conditions. We will assist with any agreed return, repair or replacement for defects covered under warranty.

Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, buyers have the right to safe, working goods. The Act does not apply to juristic persons over the current asset or turnover limit. Our liability is limited to the replacement, repair or refund of defective goods as written in your order.

These terms are governed by South African law and all orders are operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd.
