If your area has access limits, stairs or tight corners, mention this when you book so we can bring the right equipment and staff. For export orders, all solid wood crates and pallets meet ISPM 15 and are stamped with the IPPC mark.
A registered electrician must connect the shear to your main supply. The standard South African supply is 400 V three-phase at 50 Hz. After electrical sign-off with a Certificate of Compliance, we check the shear’s movement, guards and safety features. The blade clearance and square fence are set for your typical material.
We demonstrate the controls, safe zone markings, and how to handle blank sizes. Operator training covers correct feeding technique, hand placement, emergency stops, and the need for guarding under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. All operators must be competent and signed off before they start work.
Consistent maintenance keeps your shear accurate and prevents downtime. Assign daily, weekly and monthly checks to named staff for accountability. Always lock out and tag before starting any service work.
