Feature Dust Cell units now include separate Highveld and coastal filter stage packs to match the specific dust and humidity conditions of your workshop.
The new Dust Cell filter packs give buyers a practical way to match their extraction system to Gauteng’s dry, dusty Highveld or the humid, salty coastal regions. Workshops in Joburg and Pretoria typically face fine dust and static in the air, especially during dry winter months. Coastal areas like Durban, Cape Town and Gqeberha have different problems, with more moisture and salt that can rust bare steel and clog ordinary filters.
Now, when planning your equipment order or maintenance cycle, production managers and foremen can request either Highveld or coastal filter packs. This helps extraction systems run longer between changes and protects both operators and machines from the specific risks of their location.
Each Feature Dust Cell includes a stage-pack for either fine dust or salty, humid air. Highveld packs are set up for wood dust, powder and static, common in inland carpentry, signage and plastics work. Coastal packs focus on resisting moisture, preventing filter clog in damp air and reducing corrosion risk in machine bays.
Facilities in mixed-use areas, like technical schools, job shops or industrial parks, can now select the right filter set for each machine or environment. That means less downtime from filters needing to be replaced too soon, and a clearer path to compliance with the dust and chemical regulations.
Feature Dust Cell is a compact, staged-filter extraction unit for CNC routers, engravers and laser markers. By capturing dust and fumes at source, it keeps workspaces safer and cleaner. Its small footprint fits easily next to machines in tight bays or classrooms.
Dont forget that the Noise-Induced Hearing Loss Regulations require you to mark noise zones and provide protection if extraction or cutting areas go above 85 dB(A). And always get new extraction wiring checked by a registered electrician: SANS 10142-1 is the code for South African workshops.
